The Festival of Science and Curiosity, celebrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and runs from 8 – 17 February 2021

The annual festival is a week-long event which takes Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths out of the lab and into our everyday lives. In previous years the festival has been an interactive live event, but this year’s festival is virtual, using digital media, television and print.

The Carbon Recycling Network and SBRC-Nottingham regularly contributed to the festival. This year we have produced an article and video activity “The Good, the Bad and the Useful” for the online magazine which accompanies a week of Science activities.

For some fun activities this half term check out The Festival of Science and Curiosity Magazine

You can also try our fermentation experiment out at home! A full demonstration of the experiment can be found in our video:

Big thanks goes to SBRC-Nottingham Researcher: Michelle Kelly and Carbon Recycling Network Member: Dr Ruth Cornock!
