Report
Our first workshop “Metabolic Modelling”, held at St Anne’s College, Oxford was a great success. Course leader David Fell and his team of 5 tutors offered expert tuition to a total of 24 NIBB scientists (19 from C1net and 5 from other NIBBS). The course offered theoretical and practical training on structural modelling of metabolic networks, introduced techniques such as elementary modes analysis and flux balance analysis that can be used design changes in metabolic outputs. The whole of the course material – lectures and practical instructions – is on Oxford Brookes website at: http://mudshark.brookes.ac.uk/Meetings/C1netWork1
“The course was absolutely brilliant and I’m appreciating this even more after reading around the area a little more and working through your material at my own novice pace”.
“Thank you very much for sending the certificate. The workshop was a great opportunity for me to learn structural modelling and FBA techniques hands on. Looking forward to join similar workshops”.
